Hello. My name is Eugene. I live in Hong Kong with a white Macbook, an iPad and three iPods. I don’t have a job, but I am an 18 year old student, designer, and aspiring writer.
This place is just for me to put words to the awesome thoughts I have, and to talk about anything else that I find interesting to talk about as well. I suck at philosophy so I tend to steer clear of philosophical topics.
I also suck at writing, which is why this blog exists primarily. To that end, I am also employing a sort of policy where none of my posts will go through a major edit before it goes live. I’ll go through it for grammatical errors as I am a Grammar Nazi, but for the large part, there will be no editing. People tend to sleep on it before they post their writing, but here I just want to improve my writing through spontaneity.
Tools
I work mostly from my 13 inch white Macbook (yeah, these things are old), while occasionally typing stuff up on my iPod touch using Simplenote.
- All blog posts are stored in nvALT, an awesome fork of Notational Velocity
- Long-form blog posts are edited within Byword
- I am an avid user of Markdown, and Byword helps a lot
- All coding that I do is done in Espresso
